Camp Connect is a summer day camp for children with autism ages 5-8 (July 10-13) and 9-12 (July 17-20). In addition to these two weeks at University of Arkansas, Camp Connect is partnering with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art to provide an arts focused camp for children with autism and peers ages 9-12 (July 25-28).
The purpose of Camp Connect is for children with autism to have fun while connecting with other children who may or may not have autism. Each child with autism will be paired with a peer mentor (with similar interests and age) and a behavior technician student to maximize success.
We are accepting applications for peer mentors through Monday, May 15.
A few spots remain for campers who are intermediate learners for weeks 1 and 2 at the University of Arkansas. Please complete the application and send to firstname.lastname@example.org, for children as soon as possible. Spots for campers with ASD at Crystal Bridges are filled.
Camp is provided at no cost to families.
Please contact Dr. Kucharczyk, email@example.com, for more information.
Camp Connect is sponsored by the University of Arkansas Autism/Applied Behavior Analysis Programs and Project Connect. Camp Connect at Crystal Bridges is sponsored by Loreen Arbus.
